Yes — you must have a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) before applying for a study permit. IRCC will not process your application without it. If you’re unsure whether your school qualifies, book a consultation and we’ll check for you.

SDS is a faster processing stream for Sri Lankan applicants who meet specific criteria: a GIC of CAD $20,635 from a participating Canadian bank, an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 or above in each band, and a full-time acceptance at a DLI. SDS applications are typically processed in 20 days. We’ll confirm your eligibility at your free consultation.

Yes. Most full-time students at a DLI are eligible to work up to 24 hours per week off campus without a separate work permit. During scheduled breaks, you can work full time. If your program includes a co-op placement, we’ll apply for a co-op work permit alongside your study permit.
